Supplementation: Immature leopard geckos should be supplemented every feeding, adults twice a week. Females during breeding season should be supplemented every breeding. To supplement your leopard geckos, you should dust the prey items using the shake and bake method. Put a small portion of calcium supplement (such as rep-cal) and a multivitamin (such as herptivite) in a jar. Add the prey items. Gently shake the jar until the prey items are lightly covered. You should use a high quality calcium supplement that has vitamin D3 to help absorb the calcium. The calcium supplement should also contain a 2:1 ratio of calcium to phosphorus. I would also recommend a high quality multivitamin that contains beta-carotine instead of vitamin A. The animal will convert the beta-carotine into as much vitamin A it needs. This will prevent Hypervitamintosis A. Prey size: Food items should be no longer than the size of the geckos head and no wider than 1/2 the width of the geckos head.
