iguana is ill:

Overall response/alertness:
Is the animal behaving abnormally? Is the animal sluggish? Is it off feed?
 
Breathing:
Does the animal gape its mouth most of the time? does it expel air forcefully? Is there mucus around the edges of the mouth or nostrils?

 

Mouth area:
  Does the mouth appear swollen along the edges? Is food accumulated along the edges? Are there apparent lumps?
   
Eyes:
  Eyes don't appear alert? Any swelling of the eyelids?
   
Overall body:
  Any signs of cuts and swelling? Any skin disease, lumps, brown skin areas? limbs swollen? Paralysis or in activity?
   
Hands and feet:
  Any swollen toes? Remains of shed skin?
   
Stools:
  Any watery stools? Any blood in the stool? Any stains or smeared feces around the vent? Is the vent swollen?

If you answered yes to anything above, you should seek a veterinarian to examine your iguana.
