duplicate the areas of transition between or at the edge of forests, woodlands, or deserts. The habitat is different from the surrounding desert of forest in having a different soil formation and moderate rain fall. During the dry season, these spacious, rolling glades, are sparsely vegetated. During the wet season there is a resurgence of plant life.

The extremes of weather and seasonality of the plant life makes this a habitat very difficult to reproduce. Typical savanna plants, such as esparata grass and Copenicus palms are very rarely available. This requires creative subsitution. Use a screen top to keep a low humidity.
