Precondition White's tree frogs during late winter cool months. Place them in a clean, partially covered, sterile enclosure at temperatures of 65 F for as many as 16 hours a day. Keep the enclosure dark. Do not offer food and provide vertical shelters. This should be done for 6 weeks. Following this period, maintain White's tree frogs under optimal conditions and feed for 2-4 weeks.

To induce breeding, place your White's tree frogs in a large aquarium with 3-4 inches of water. Make sure you have added water plants such as Anachris or water hyacinth. Using a water pump or canister filter, construct a rain chamber by running water to a large plastic container with multiple holes drilled in it, placed above the aquarium. You may also use a shower head or a capped PVC pipe with holes drilled into it. Make sure to cover the aquarium with a screen top to prevent escape. Put the pump or canister filter on a timer so it runs from 6 pm till 10 pm. Breeding will usually occur after 2-5 days between 11 pm and 5 pm. This will result in thousands of eggs.
