reach a length of 3 - 4.5 inches. Their bodies are large and rotund. They have a color ranging from a light or emerald-green to a brown or blue. Their rubbery skin is waxy in appearance, which reduces water loss and enables White's to tolerate fairly arid conditions. Older White's have fleshy folds that begin to develop over the eyes. White's tree frog limbs are muscular and end in large feet with huge globular toe pads, which are used to support the frogs bulk during its climbing activities.

Sexing

Young White's tree frogs can be difficult to reliably determine sex. The easiest method is to keep them for a period of time and isolate males as they begin calling. White's begin calling by one year old. Males will have a small brown nuptial pad on the inside of their thumbs if they are in breeding condition. Gently pressing your thumb against a males chest will sometimes elicit a call.
